Our mission "Where Nothing Goes to Waste" says it all. We are dedicated to making valuable "Glass" products out of "glass and glass waste" that presently go to landfills daily.
EHS Abrasives LLC (EHS) was started in 2010 to establish glass processing and manufacturing sites in the Mid Atlantic, the Gulf Coast Region and on the West Coast. Our original plant is located in Norfolk Virginia and was previously operated as Virginia Materials Inc. The plant has a history of manufacturing coal slag abrasives in annual quantities up to 60,000 tons and was easily converted to produce cleaner and safer glass abrasives.EHS's plan is to duplicate this first facility in other densely populated areas where large sources of waste glass are located. This waste glass will be converted into EHS's "Glass" sand like products.
EHS has developed a proprietary "glass recycling" process.
The process developed by EHS, has been refined and proven both cost effective and technically robust. EHS has contracted with suppliers of "waste glass" so that there is a steady supply of incoming waste glass.
